Among Lou Kady’s happiest moments are when he is
performing before an audience, musically expressing himself.
Active in his hometown community of Carteret, New
Jersey, Lou is a practicing lawyer by day and lounge singer
by night. Educated at Johns Hopkins University, B.A, Rutgers
University, MBA, and Seton Hall Law School, J.D.; his musical
development as a performer was influenced by the performances of
Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin, Elvis Presley, Al Alberts, Matt
Monro and Bob Manning. Francis Albert Sinatra was and continues
to be Lou’s greatest inspiration and it is Frank’s delivery that
leads Lou to develop his technique of custom vocalizing, whereby a
reviewer noted that “Kady captures the spirit, style &
sophistication of Sinatra.” |

Working solo or with a big
band, Lou has performed at clubs, private parties and assorted
venues throughout the world to include:
Napa Valley, CA, Vail
and Beaver Creek, CO,
Crystal Cruises’ M.S. Harmony, The Dinner
Cruise Ship Cornucopia Princess, Carnival Cruise Line’s M.S.
Ecstasy, Celebrity Cruises’ M.S. Infinity, Cunards’ Queen Mary 2
and The Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
An avid traveler, Kady’s experiences include sailing
on the Queen Mary 2,
flying on the Concorde, NY/London, riding overnight in a sleeper
compartment on the Orient Express, Paris/Venice, skiing North
America and South America, having his picture snapped while atop
a camel on the Great Wall of China, and riding Zodiac rafts
among Killer Whales in Vancouver and Sperm Whales in Maui.

Lou married his wife Janice in 1962. They are proud of their
three sons Louis, Kevin, and Christopher, and their six
grandchildren, Kiana, Elyese, Erika, Shane, Andrew, and Krista.
Lou exercises artistic license when he intones
phrases such as “At Seaside Heights, those days and nights, they
went flying by; the world was new, beneath a blue Hungarian
sky,” (Summer Wind); or, “She loves New Jersey, though its
crowded and cramped,” (The Lady is A Tramp), all of which Lou
customizes and personalizes during his presentation of Sinatra
Classics and The Great American songbook.
Kady’s eyes twinkle when he says, “I don’t take
myself seriously but I do take what I do seriously---I don’t
think I’m Frank Sinatra, I don’t impersonate Frank Sinatra, I
don’t look like Frank Sinatra---however, I do sing in a ‘Frank’
manner, I have blue eyes and I live in Jersey. I guess 3 out of
6 ain’t all that bad! Besides, I haven’t quit my day job yet!!!”
Lou Kady’s happiest moments include singing and performing before
an audience, allowing him to musically
express himself. |
