“SINATRA NIGHT” BENEFIT
WITH LOU KADY
TO KICK OFF SUMMER SEASON
AT THE DUNCAN SMITH THEATER

HOLMDEL, NEW JERSEY – Holmdel Theatre Company is pleased to announce that local resident and entertainer Lou Kady will kick off the 2004 summer season with two “Sinatra Night” benefit performances at the Duncan Smith Theater on Friday and Saturday evenings, June 4th and 5th.  With accompaniment by The Grants “PLUS”, the evening will feature a wonderful evening of old favorites sung cabaret style by Lou in a  “Frank” manner.

Although a practicing attorney by profession, Lou is also a familiar entertainer to audiences throughout New Jersey and beyond, including venues such as Napa Valley, California;  Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado: various cruise ships and Asbury Park’s Stone Pony.  According to Lou, he does not try to imitate Frank Sinatra, but as one reviewer has noted, Lou “captures the spirit and sophistication of  Sinatra” as he performs.   “The intimate setting of The Duncan Smith Theater will only enhance my communication with  the audience,” adds the singer.

Lou’s desire to do these benefit performances at the Duncan Smith Theater has other  roots beyond just wanting to support a deserving community organization such as the Holmdel Theatre Company.  More specifically,  the Kadys have been  backdoor neighbors of the Smith family in Holmdel since the late 1960’s  and  their children grew up together.  Moreover, there is a college and fraternal bond as Lou, Wendell Smith and his son Duncan all graduated from Johns Hopkins University and were members of the same fraternity.

According to Lou,  “ I have been wanting to do something  special for the Duncan Smith Theater for a long time and these performances will be particularly meaningful for me because of my connections to the Smith family and to Duncan.  I urge all of  our friends and neighbors and other members of the community to come out to support this worthy cause and to enjoy an evening of nostalgia and song with me.”

Tickets for the Sinatra Night Benefit are $25 each and may be reserved by calling (732) 946 0427.  Seating is limited and advance reservations are recommended,  Visa and Mastercard are accepted.  Curtain time is 8pm.  Doors open one half hour earlier.  The Duncan Smith Theater is fully air conditioned.  For directions please call or visit www. holmdeltheatrecompany.com .
